On Wednesday December 7, just 4 days before the event was set to take place, Chopperfest event organizers announced on Instagram that the long-awaited 17th Annual David Mann Chopperfest would be postponed due to a huge rainstorm that hit Ventura County. This is the 4th year that the event was forced to reschedule; the first being in 2018, due to the unfortunate Thomas Fire, 2020 due to Covid and again in 2021, due to unforeseen circumstances. After waiting 2 long years, it’s safe to say that  builders, artists and motorcycle enthusiasts alike are highly anticipating the return of this cherished event.

While a lot of people were disappointed with the decision to reschedule, the event organizers stated “the artists, bike builders, vendors, and sponsors work too hard all year to create great stuff for the show. We can't put on the show in the rain and risk poor attendance for them.”

With that being said, they did an outstanding job of quickly finding a new date to host the event in the not so distant future. Now set for February 12, 2023 (weather permitting) there’s no doubt that the turnout will be great for both vendors and attendees.

The Chopperfest has evolved into a 25-acre, multimedia art exhibition at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. The event highlights include an antique and custom motorcycle show - catering to all brands, custom bike builder displays showcasing world-class builders, hundreds of motorcycle vendors, artists, new and used motorcycle swap meet, local food vendors and live music.

Ventura Harley is tentatively excited for the event to take place in February 2023.
